Neighbourhood Planning Network
St Philip’s Marsh Neighbourhood Forum and Easton Neighbourhood Forum are members of Bristol’s Neighbourhood Planning Network. The Neighbourhood Planning Network (NPN) is a self-help network of independent voluntary neighbourhood groups who are or want to be more effectively involved in the planning system in Bristol. Each group in the Network deals with development proposals in their own local community

ElhPlan will be a Community Interest Company that provides the support, design and research for Neighbourhood Forums. ElhPlan will work on behalf of the Forums and help them deliver the Neighbourhood Plans they create.
The case studies show the sort of approach ElhPlan will follow involving the people who live and work in the area at the heart of what we do.

Newton - Case Study
It has been made clear by residents that Newtown has been overlooked for far too long and that changes need to be made. This report covers research done by this practice within Newtown and includes a two-phase proposal for how to improve Newtown Park based on this research.
Newtown Park has great potential to become a better place for local residents to use for leisure, sports, and socializing. Large green areas and landscaped organic knolls surrounded by trees are idyllic but many of these places are unusable
Waste Less Tool Kit - Craft Quarter
The key objectives are centred around facilitating sustainable growth of the Craft Quarter in the wider context of Bristol and providing the community there with the tools to develop beyond UWE’s involvement
The Vision
This Craft Quarter Project looks to grow a creative network, without the limitations of the physical environment. The ambition is in parallel to integrating sustainable practices into the community by making it a key factor to achieving growth of the network
Fundamental to this project is the creation of a simple and intuitive system, a useful and relevant contribution that will be community run once our time on the project comes to an end
Feasibility Study - Barton Hill
Barton Hill area is considered as one of the most underprivileged areas in Bristol. A community with poor health facilities, high unemployment rates, and low educational services. Despite their many problems, the community voice still remains unheard, creating in that way more and more problems in the community and its residents day by day. Due to the pandemic, their difficulties became even more apparent.
